In 2 weeks, Sinclair Broadcast Group plans to launch ATSC3.0 over-the-air delivery of four radio stations as part of its STIRR XT digital audio service in Seattle.
The power of ATSC 3.0 standard continues being tested by Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBG) in Seattle. The new standard will be used to transmit a set of digital audio channels. SBG hopes to stimulate the automotive industry to consider inclusion of ATSC3.0 receiver in cars to enable the opportunities of the digital spectrum for computer-controlled automotive tech.
"OTA simulcasts of KVI, KOMO, KOMO-FM and KPLZ-FM will complement 15 digital audio channels already being delivered over the top as part of STIRR XT."
