Setup and Installation - Factory Reset
SOFT RESET
Access Path:
Control Panel > System > Reset Settings to Default

If the Receiver can be reached through Ethernet connection, i.e. it responds to its IP address and WEB UI is available, the Soft Reset is the most convenient way to load default settings.
HARD RESET
In the situation when there is no access to the unit through Ethernet (for example, if the Receiver IP address is lost or unknown) a hardware-based reset can be performed.
Hard Reset for AVQ200 - RF Signal Inspector
- Power up the unit.
- Wait for approximately 60 seconds until the unit is fully booted.
- Locate an RST labeled hole on the device's front panel just under the RF input connector.
- Using a sharp instrument press the button accessible through the hole for 10 seconds.
- Release the button and power cycle the device.
- The default settings should be in effect and the unit should be accessible at 192.168.254.254 address for further setup.
IMPORTANT NOTE: please use care when pressing not to destroy the button
Hard Reset for AVQ1020 - RF Layer Monitoring Receiver (2nd Gen) and AVQ1022 - RF Signal Analyzer
- Power up the unit.
- Wait for approximately 60 seconds until the unit is fully booted.
- Locate AUX DB9 connector on the device's rear panel.
- Shorten pins 2 and 3 of the AUX connector for 10 seconds:
- Release the pins and power cycle the unit.
- The default settings should be in effect and the unit should be accessible at 192.168.254.254 address for further setup.
Resetting network for AVQ1020 - RF Layer Monitoring Receiver (1nd Gen) using Command Line Interface (CLI)
- Power up the unit.
- Wait for approximately 60 seconds until the unit is fully booted.
- Connect RS232 (null-modem cable) with the following settings: 115200, 8-N-1, None
Please, note - when connected, informational and debugging messages will be continuously displayed and updated in the terminal window. - Press Enter to be presented with login:"Login ->"
- Enter the administrator password. You should see a CLI menu.
- Once in the main menu, press "5" (5. System).
- Press "3" (3. Network).
- Press "1" (1. IP Address) to display the current IP address. Enter a new IP address and press "Enter" to change the parameter. If you would like to leave IP address unchanged, make sure that the field is blank and press "Enter" to return to the Network menu.
- Repeat procedures in the previous step for the netmask (2. Netmask) and gateway (3. Gateway).
- Restart the unit with the power switch or through CLI commands (5. System -> 8. Restart System - > 1. ON) for the changes to take effect.
