The first ATSC3.0 Living Lab in Canada - Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning

Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada (NSERC) and Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) has granted Humber College $3 million to research the next generation broadcast technology ATSC3.0

The first ATSC3.0 Living Lab in Canada, the Humber Broadcast-Broadband Convergence (B2C) Lab, will be established at the North Campus of Humber College in Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation to be operational in the Fall 2021.

The lab will support research opportunities using ATSC3.0 (the NextGen IP-based global television broadcast standard set to replace the ATSC1.0) to enhance the student experience and drive innovation in broadcasting forward.
